Art Science [AS]
Collaborations between the arts and sciences have the potential to create new knowledge, ideas and processes beneficial to both fields. Artists and scientists approach creativity, exploration and research in different ways and from different perspectives, leading to new experiences and interpretations of the world around us.
ANAT’s Art Science [AS] Program offers a suite of opportunities to foster collaboration between art and science. We work with various partners, including the Australia Council for the Arts, to provide the following;
- Residencies for Australian artists at leading science institutions, both within Australia and around the world;
- An up-to-the-minute database of international art/science collaborations
- A moderated email discussion on art and science with leading practitioners, covering areas including bioart, robotics, cognition and spatiality.
