New Atomiser Lab Performances_

Cutting-edge urban arts centre – Shopfront, announces the end of year performances for ArtsLab08 Atomiser running from October 17th-26th. ArtsLab is Australia’s only full-year residency for emerging artists and this years Atomiser program comprises of three exciting and innovative performance pieces showcasing the amazing talent of a new generation of artists.
David Kirkpatrick will stage Alternate Directive which is part concert, part theatre, part movie, drawing on cutting edge CCTV motion tracking technology to create real-time relationships between music, physical theatre and light.
“I’m really interested in how different art forms affect one another,” said Kirkpatrick. “I focusedon the symbiosis between the real and the digital to explore the concept of choice, with a focus on the current issue of climate change.”
Alternate Directive will be staged at Shopfront (88 Carlton Pde, Carlton 2218 NSW) on:
Friday October 17th - 8pm
Saturday October 18th - 8pm
