My practice is located between art and design - utilising advanced technologies to develop potent human scale projects. My research, practice, and teaching are multidisciplinary in nature and operate at the nexus between electronic engineering, design and spatial investigation.
I currently lecture in Interior Design at RMIT University, Melbourne and continue an active research and design practice. I am actively engaged in developing work, exhibiting, writing, researching and teaching. My background meshes communication theory and spatial investigation with a Masters from SIAL and Bachelor degrees in Communications (1991-1993, University of Canberra) and Interior Design (1999-2002, RMIT). As such my area of research interest exists at the midpoint of these fields and I am fascinated by the potential of communications modalities to transcend physical limitations in a meaningful, embodied way.
I am currently collaborating with Nanotechnology Victoria to develop projects which address the emotional in therapeutic design.

Arts Victoria’s Arts Innovation program provides support for professional artists to undertake a project with partners in other fields to share their respective knowledge and expertise. In 2007/08, ANAT partnered with Arts Victoria to deliver a further three residencies for artists within science/research settings.

8TH JANUARY 2007
In Summer 2007 ANAT intertwined the practices of media arts and sound design, textile and weaving, jewellery object and fashion design to produce the reSkin Wearable Technology Lab.
